KitNames: FAQ
What is an Exclusive Price?
The “Exclusive Prices” on our website are the lowest advertised prices on the internet. Please click here for details.
What is an LTO (Lease to Own)?
The KitNames Lease to Own program via GoDaddy* offers an alternative to paying for a domain name up-front, making premium domains more affordable. Please click here for details.
How do I buy a domain from KitNames?
While we at KitNames own all our domains, we do not take your payments directly at this time. For complete peace of mind, we will forward you to GoDaddy* to complete your transaction. Please click here for details.
How long does the purchasing process take?
Once your payment is received and verified, the domain transfer process begins immediately. The transfer typically takes about 8 days, due to the ICANN-mandated waiting period of 5-7 days that starts after the current owner approves the transfer.
What payment methods do you accept?
You will complete your transaction via GoDaddy*. GoDaddy* ensures swift and secure payment by accepting multiple methods, including credit/debit/prepaid cards, bank transfer, online banking, PayPal, electronic check (ACH), Klarna, and eWallets. Please note: Some of these payment methods are not supported in certain countries, and some require a US bank account. Conditions are accurate at the time of editing. Please visit GoDaddy.com* for the most up-to-date information on payment methods.
Are there any other costs?
No, there are no hidden costs or transfer fees. The only payment you make to us is the price you see, and there are no recurring costs from KitNames. A Service Fee applies to Lease to Own purchases with terms over 12 months, but that fee will be clearly displayed and included in your monthly installments.
Are there any ongoing fees after I purchase the domain?
The one-time cost gives you ownership of the domain. Once the domain is transferred to you, you will need to renew it annually with your domain registrar to maintain ownership. You will lose ownership if you don’t pay the annual fee. The yearly renewal fees are paid directly to the domain registrar and are typically about $10 USD per year for .com domains. Renewal fees may differ for other domain extensions such as .ai, .io, etc.
Do KitNames domains include trademarks?
In short: No, our domain names do not include trademarks or international registration. Domain names and trademarks are distinct forms of intellectual property. Please click here for details.
Can I make an offer?
We aim to price our premium domain names realistically, considering historical sales prices of similar domains, as well as factors like length, syllable count, and TLD. However, we are open to “reasonable” offers. After all, a good deal is when both parties walk away happy! Feel free to reach out with your offer here, and we’ll be happy to discuss it with you.
